Michael Shvadron (b. 1989, Tel-Aviv) is a photographer based in Tel-Aviv and working worldwide. Graduate of the photography department, Bezalel Academy of Art and design in Jerusalem (2018). Michael has served in the IDF Spokesperson unit as a photographer (2008-2011).
Specialize in Architecture and Interior design despite not afraid of exploring different genres and cultures. In his experience there is the challenging military service as photographer documenting the IDF activity including historical moment as the return of the captured soldier Gilad Shalit and documenting the service of formers General chief of staff Gaby Ashkenazy and Benny Gants.
In Bezalel, There was two main features for his professional development. One is to learn how process an art project. The process reflected in the project 10 min from Segev Shalom which exploring the horse racing culture in south of Israel. The second feature is the people around who he met and later became an art collective named HaSalon5.
In the wide spectrum of photography overview Michael also working with many artists to document and be a part of their creative process. Documentation of Murals by Broken Fingerz and Ghostown crew prudctions. Photographing and videography of Ori Shifrin art projects. Reproductions of Gary Goldstein paintings. Working with the departments of Industrial Design and Visual Communication in Shankar College of Engineering, Design and Art.
For 9 years Michael practiced the vision and techniques as the main assistant of the world famous photographer Amit Geron. As his assistant , traveling around the globe and working with the top of the line architects offices (Pitsou Kedem Architects, Orly Shrem Architects, Baranowitz+Kronenberg Architects and many more) added to Michael’s expertise.
The documenting practice of architecture and design project is a dialogue between the designer and the photographer. Starting with conversation about the project and the design then exploring the project and the sun direction that lights the project with natural light.
